TomTom One: 3rd Edition? reviews?

I just bought my dad a TomTom One (3rd Edition) for christmas, and have been reading mixed reviews on the GPS device, just wondering if any of you have a TomTom and what you think about it in comparison to a Magellan or Garmin.. thanks for the answers!

Both a TomTom One and a Garmin c330 live in my driveway. I actually like both. Either one seems to work consistently and get where it needs to. My only complaint is that updates to the maps can be purchased but are not free. We have to call stores and restaurants before going there to make sure they are still open, and new/closed roads aren’t on there.
